Tentacle is a mini game I've made in cooperation with a game artist.

In this game, a big octopus tries to capture people on a beach with his huge tentacles. The player's goal will be to stop him during the time of the assault, by cutting off all the tentacles that reach out !

The goal for us was to create a funny mini-game in which the player places himself in the role of a powerful protector. The idea is that the controller must give the player a sense of power, a power he will have to control to succeed.

My missions

  • Created the game concept

  • Designed the core gameplay mechanics​

  • Designed the UI

  • Designed the tentacle AI

  • Made all VFX and other game feel effects (screenshake, postprocess, GUI animations, etc.)​

  • Balanced all the different values to adjust the difficulty and the feel of the game

  • Scripted tentacle's AI

  • Programmed the core gameplay mechanics

  • Integrated some graphics and audios assets in the engine
